A good website is always important because it’s a refection of the quality of your business. Be careful of “rented” websites, or free sites. They are typically not search friendly, nor flexible. Many companies offer various templates that may look great. What the customer may not know is that these are “run of the mill” websites may share the same content, and are not unique to your business or your brand. In addition, with many providers, you don’t ultimately “own” the website, and can pay exorbitant monthly fees. Look for a company that can provide you with a custom, rich, stylish website, one to entice visitors and hopefully convert them into actual customers. Always ask if your website is yours to keep. If it isn’t move on to a provider that will ultimately hand over your website to you.

Your business should be easy to find on the web, as should it’s location. If your business is not listed, how can you expect patients or customers to find you? Make sure your site optimized by efficient targeted keywords, and that you have link building, content optimization, classified ads, social networking and more in place.
Make sure your website is optimized for local, unique and long-tail keyword phrases such as “your city dispensary” or “medical marijuana your city” and list yourself on Google Places, Yahoo Listings, Bing Business Portal marketing, as well as ways to increase exposure through 3rd party websites and review sites like Yelp!, Merchant Circle, Insider Pages, Directories and more.
Get additional exposure with classified ads. Classified ad campaigns are a great way of exposing your business and quickly getting your business’s name on the first page of Google and other major search engines.
